If your baby hasn't arrived on his/her 'due date', an induction is generally proposed quite soon afterwards. It is important to remember that it is your decision but sadly, many women simply aren’t aware that they have a choice. Here, Laura shares with us why she declined induction three times and went on to have a beautiful (and quick!) birth with her second child. This is one empowered woman you will want to hear from!
Whether you’re preparing for a caesarean birth or not, this is a blog post you won’t want to miss. With 1 in 3 women having a caesarean, or abdominal birth as we like to call it, isn’t it about time we started preparing ALL women with tips on how to prepare, what to expect and recovery?
Danielle’s birth experience is one that all pregnant women and birth partners should read. The reason we love this birth story so much is because this Mama got herself really informed during pregnancy and prepared, not just her body, but her mind for birth too using hypnobirthing. On the day, she felt listened to, respected and in control - such key elements for any birth. She goes on to describe how her contractions/surges were never painful. That’s not to say she didn’t work blimin’ hard to bring her baby into the world, but she just had some amazing tools to help her when she needed them! Read on to find out what those tools were.
We were so excited to see Hannah’s birth story up on her blog that we just had to share it with you. Hannah and Mark completed a Parent Tribe group course and decided to have a home birth after doing lots of research and talking to their homebrith team. This Mama didn’t believe she was in labour even though she was pretty far on! With a lot of relaxation, a positive mindset and some football thrown in for good measure (!) this Mama had the most beautiful positive birth. A few hours later the three of them were tucked up in their own beds eating pizza! Read on for the full story…

This is the incredible birth story of Millie who was born at a birth centre only 20 minutes after arriving at hospital. Her amazing parents, Alison and Mark, completed a Parent Tribe hypnobirthing course as Alison, like most pregnant women, was full of fear and worry about giving birth. This beautiful account of her birth experience is a wonderful example of a woman letting go, trusting her body, her baby and her instincts and turning fear into utter female strength and empowerment.
What makes a positive birth? Read why our courses set women and birth partners up to have a positive experience no matter what journey their baby’s birth may take.
